Welcome to Rantasarka!

Rantasarka is located in Virpiniemi on a 4-hectare site, approximately 20 km north of the city center of Oulu. The area is surrounded by forest and features well-maintained grassy grounds, offering a peaceful, tranquil, and pleasant atmosphere. During the summer season, guests can enjoy swimming, with a sandy beach just about 150 meters away. The Virpiniemi fitness trails and jogging paths are located right next to the campsite, and in autumn the surrounding area offers outstanding opportunities for berry and mushroom picking. In winter, the varied Virpiniemi terrain provides excellent cross-country skiing trails, as well as unique skiing experiences on the sunlit frozen sea. An extensive network of pedestrian and cycling paths ensures excellent routes for cycling, roller skating, roller skiing, and jogging. From May 1st to September 30th, the campsite is hosted with on-site staff available. During the winter season, the area operates as a self-service campsite.
